A deal has been agreed between YouTube and IPL, which now brings your favorite IPL matches live onto youtube.
IPL matches now can be seen live on YouTube with a five-minute pushback. A separate section called Fun Feed will give behind-the-scenes information on the matches.Users will also be able to upload their questions on the match, chat with friends and give commentary as well.
During the press release, Mr. Shailesh Rao (M.D. for Google India) commented “Cricket is the centre of our lives and with the IPL channel, we are doing something that has never been done before in television”
Lalit Modi Commissioner for IPL, a well known portfolio for technology savvyness and his innovations, referred this tie-up to “ushering in a democratisation of broadcasting.”
Definitely, its a step ahead from conventional broadcasting, point to be noted here is more and more businesses are realizing the fact that majority of their customers are now online, until and unless you tap the online media you would keep wondering on “Where have all my customers gone?”.
